A Triumph Over Makeup Meltdown

I’d been hearing a lot about makeup setting sprays over the past months and as someone who has oily skin and often suffers from makeup meltdown, especially in the summer, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try it out. I did a lot of research first because I didn’t want to end up shelling out for a product that wasn’t compatible with my sensitive skin.

After reading a lot of reviews and visiting more than a few beauty counters I finally decided to take the plunge and try out Pixi by Petra Makeup Fixing Mist and I was not disappointed! Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist prolongs makeup wear and it keeps it from  melting and settling into pores and fine lines. It is very gentle, hydrating and protects the skin, keeping your face fresh and giving a soft-glow finish. It’s infused with rose water which has anti-inflammatory properties, is a great cleanser and aids in removing oil and dirt which accumulates in pores. It also boasts  green tea as one of its ingredients which is not only soothing but has a plethora of benefits such as flushing out toxins and anti-bacterial qualities.

 

This mist is extremely versatile. You can use it as a primer before you apply your makeup. Just mist over your face, allow to dry for a few seconds and then apply your makeup as usual. After you’ve applied your makeup you can gently mist over your face and it will set your makeup. Truth be told, I was a little skeptical before I tried it out but was totally blown away by how well it works!

I’ve been using it for about a month so far and I’m hooked! I hated having to constantly reapply pressed powder throughout the day to touch up my makeup – it made my skin feel heavy, dry and cakey. But Pixi keeps my makeup in place  as well as maintaining hydration and freshness.

It can also be used throughout the day to refresh your makeup. Just spritz and go! It’s especially revitalizing in the summer months when it’s hot and humid.

 

I seriously don’t know how I lived without this stuff for so long! Although it’s £16 for 80ml it’s totally worth the investment. Your skin will thank you!
